R130 Ring Light mounts directly to Lens

The new R130 LED Ring Light can be quickly and easily adapted to any vision system with either of four standard mounting options that are provided with each unit. First, there is a standard M46 thread protruding from the back of the R130. Using readily available step-up or step-down rings it can be mounted directly to the threads found on the front end of most lenses.

Second is the ability to mount the lens at the front end of the R130 Ring Light. Once again, an off-the-shelf M46 step ring can be used to adapt lenses with M43 or smaller filter mounting threads. A flange at the front end of the R130 holds the step ring with three set screws, and the camera lens is inserted through the center of the R130 and threaded onto the step ring. In those few cases where the lens’s locking thumbscrews may prevent the lens from fitting through the center of the R130, extra low-profile replacement set screws are included, allowing the protruding thumbscrews to be removed. Third is a T-slot on all sides. Standard industrial T-nuts can be dropped into the slot for mounting. Fourth way to mount the light is using the threaded M4 holes on the back plate of light.

The R130 Lights are a high output LED light in an aluminum housing. Housing uses industry standard T-Slots for ease of mounting. Ring Lights are available in light output of White, Red, Amber, Blue, Green, Cyan, IR and UV. Ring Light includes an integrated constant current driver with a built in strobe input with option for PNP or NPN trigger control. No need for an external driver to control the light. The integrated driver also includes variable light intensity control. Light can be controlled by a manual potentiometer or a 0-10VDC analog signal.

Analog Intensity:	The output is adjustable from 0-100% of brightness by a 0 -10 VDC signal
Dimmable:	The output is manually adjustable from 10-100% of brightness by potentiometer
Continuous Mode:	Light will be in continuous mode by leaving signal on strobe input
Strobe:	PNP ? +5VDC or greater to activate  |  NPN ? GND (<1VDC) to activate
Strobe Mode:	The Light will operate in either continuous or strobe mode. In strobe mode, the output pulse width will track the pulse width of the strobe pulse.

Optical Performance:

Brightness distribution is measured using a CCD camera system. Three levels are expressed by areas and colors. The highest brightness is 100% and the other areas are assigned a percentage according to their measured value. Data is collected from testing red and white LED lights. An output difference between lights is normal and is the result of LED tolerances from the manufacturer.

Effective working range: 150mm – 1 meter (6” – 40”)




Wiring:

Smart Vision Lights cables are 5 conductors M12 in 18AWG wire. 18AWG is recommended for ALL OverDrive series and standard series lights. 18AWG is necessary to strobe lights at full current. Common M12 cables are 22AWG. Standard 22 AWG wires will not supply full power needed for our light. Smart Vision Lights recommends the cable from the power supply to the light be kept to a minimum.



• 5 pin Standard M12 mating cable must be used.
• 0 – 10 VDC Analog controls intensity of light from 10-100%. 0VDC = 10%, 10VDC = 100%
• PNP and NPN strobe – In strobe mode the light output will track the pulse width of the strobe input.
• Continuous mode – Leaving the NPN or PNP strobe signal in an active ON state. Non-OverDrive Lights.
